You do not need much to start walking dogs. You need three things in place before you take the first lead.
Insurance
Get cover that includes the dogs in your care and harm to other people. Owners will ask, and the good ones will check.
Keys
Label every key with a code, and keep the list of codes somewhere else. A lost key with an address on it is a problem for everyone.
Rules
Write down what happens in heavy rain, in heat and when you are ill. Send it to every new owner before the first walk.
