- This website doesn’t use cookies for analytics or advertising, and nothing on it follows you around the web.
- It keeps the one line you type about your idea for a moment, so it’s filled in when you sign up.
- Your Rivendel account uses one cookie to keep you signed in.
- Because we only use what the site needs to work, there’s no cookie banner. If that ever changes, we’ll ask you first.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Websites can also keep small notes in your browser in other ways, such as session storage. The law treats them the same way, so this page covers both.
What this website uses
- Your idea, for a moment: when you write your one line on a business idea page and press Start, we keep it in your browser’s session storage so it’s filled in on the sign-up page. It’s deleted when you close the tab, and it never leaves your browser until you sign up.
- Nothing else. This website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels.
What your Rivendel account uses
- A sign-in cookie on account.rivendelapp.com, which keeps you signed in. Without it, you’d have to sign in on every page.
Things other companies load
- This website’s lettering (Figtree, Instrument Sans and Milonga) is loaded from Google Fonts. When it loads, Google sees your IP address, as any website you load something from does. It doesn’t set cookies.

Each business website we build has its own cookie and privacy page, because the business owner decides what it uses.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you won’t be able to stay signed in to your account.
Changes and contact
If we ever want to use cookies the site doesn’t need, we’ll ask you first, and update this page and the date at the top.
